About MeI grew up on a dairy farm in a tiny town of 300 people in Idaho, USA. I earned a B.S. in English literature from Utah State University and a master’s degree in library and information studies from The Robert Gordon University. My family and I lived in Germany for one year and called Shanghai, China, home from 2004 until 2016. I worked as PYP librarian for eight years and taught early childhood classes for three. I have recently retired--phew!--from the position of coordinator of the Shanghai Librarians Network. I am an IB workshop leader and site visiting team member. I love helping teachers, librarians, and administrators build better libraries and stronger teacher and learning practices!
I am passionate about the magic that comes from collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate information literacy skills into students’ classroom learning. Roll up your sleeves, kids—we have the whole world to investigate! Let's Connect
